This page is maintained by the Brick Broker team to describe how we collect, use, and store information when you use Brick Broker. If you have questions, contact us at the email address provided during signup.
Information We Collect
We collect your email address when you join our waitlist or sign in. When using the application, we store inventory data, pricing data, sales records, and settings you enter. If you enable push notifications, we also store the browser push subscription for that device.
How We Use Your Information
Your email is used to authenticate you and to send transactional notifications such as auction reminders and account messages. Application data is used to provide the Brick Broker service and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Notifications
Brick Broker notifies you by email, mobile app (installed PWA) push, and desktop browser notifications. Push notifications are opt-in: you enable them per device in Settings and we store only the browser-issued push subscription for that device. We do not send text messages and do not collect a phone number.
We send an alert when a saved Buying listing's auction ends within the next ~6 minutes, the listing has not yet been converted to inventory, the recommendation is not Pass, Hard Pass, or Maybe, and bid status is not "No Bid". You can turn push off per device in Settings or in your browser at any time, and unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.
Data Storage
All data is stored in our managed backend with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to authenticated accounts.
Usage Analytics
We record basic product usage (such as which pages are viewed) through our analytics provider, MarTech LLC, to understand how Brick Broker is used and improve it. These events never include your email address, name, phone number, or account credentials. Visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK are only measured after an explicit opt-in; elsewhere measurement is on by default and can be revoked at any time by contacting us.
Subprocessors
We rely on a small set of service providers to operate Brick Broker, including our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and MarTech LLC for usage analytics.
AI assistant access & referral measurement
Public read-only shop interfaces expose listings, prices, condition facts, shipping terms and policies to anyone, without customer information or private inventory finances. Anonymous API, assistant and identified crawler request counts are kept for up to 90 days and shown only to the owner; raw IPs, user-agent strings and query text are not stored in those counters. Rate-limit buckets use daily-hashed addresses and expire after a day.
Browser referral measurement is off until you opt in. It saves only a classified first source and timestamp on your device and, for an order you start, with that order. Later visits do not overwrite the first source. No personal identity is added to attribution; related reporting excludes test orders and owner visits. Browser privacy signals disable measurement. Direct assistant calls cannot be linked to a buyer.
YouTube Listing Videos
When the owner connects a YouTube channel, we store encrypted channel authorization and use it only for requested item-video uploads and visibility checks. Videos, titles, descriptions, and the owner's audience declaration are sent to YouTube. Original files remain unchanged on the owner's device. Disconnecting revokes channel access but does not delete videos already on YouTube.
Shop videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player and do not load until you choose Watch video. Playback connects your browser to YouTube, which may collect playback and device information under its own privacy policy. Removing a video from a listing does not remove it from YouTube.
Connected Marketplace Listings
When the owner enables automatic listing updates, saved item condition, public listing copy, prices and photos are sent to the connected eBay account for existing listings. Public product details and photos are also available in the Google Merchant feed. Purchase-source details and private costs are not included in these updates. Listing-update status and recovery information are kept privately for the owner. Automatic eBay updates can be paused in Settings without deleting saved item changes.
Your Choices
You can disable push or email notifications, or request deletion of your account data at any time from Settings or by contacting us.
